⏰ Tomorrow (23 Apr) — Fix Payments Day

Reminder for Thursday 23 April 2026. Lucinda: read this first thing. This is what we agreed last night.

The facts as of tonight

25 new submissions since Monday. (15 Mon, 4 Tue, 6 Wed.) That's a strong pace — roughly 8 per day. If sustained, you'll have 100+ verified stallions in the directory within a month. The owner outreach IS working; the bottleneck is display.

The Worker is still broken. Not fixable by Claude alone. Needs a developer.

Display target: stallions visible on breedpulse.com by next week (Mon 27 April).

€20k/month target: not achievable from Connemaras alone. Requires expansion to other native breeds (Irish Draught, Welsh, Shetland, etc.). Payments architecture needs to support this from day one — same Stripe account, same Sotion paywall, multiple breed directories branching off the same platform. Don't build Connemara-specific plumbing.

Plan of attack for today (Thursday)

Morning — unblock display (1 hr)

Two parallel tracks. Don't wait for the developer.

Track A — Upwork the Worker fix (20 min)

Post the Upwork job (template in Payments Setup page, just copy-paste)
Budget €50–80, UK/EU timezone preferred
Target: candidate hired by 11am, work done by end of day

Track B — Display insurance plan (40 min)

  • Don't rely on the Worker fix landing. Build a parallel path so stallions are visible next Monday regardless.
Ask Claude to show how to display the Stallion Directory via Notion's native public view (no Worker required). Ugly but functional.
OR: Super.so can render Notion databases directly — ask Claude to explore this. Might replace the Worker entirely.
  • Goal: IF the dev doesn't come through in time, you still have 25+ stallions visible next week.

Afternoon — Stripe in the background (30 min active, then wait)

Start Stripe signup at stripe.com/ie
Irish sole trader, upload ID + utility bill
Submit, then LET IT VERIFY IN BACKGROUND (1–2 days)
Don't wait around for it — move on

Whenever — Sotion research (30 min)

Sign up at sotion.so, connect to Notion workspace
Don't pay for a plan yet — just get the free account so you know the UI
Confirm it can paywall the specific fields we need (Stud Fee, Booking Contact)

Important framing for the roadmap

€20k/month comes from:

  • Season Pass (mare owners, €9.99/90d) → baseline revenue layer
  • Stallion Owner Premium (stud owners, €100/yr for analytics) → the real money
  • Breed expansion (Irish Draught, Welsh, Shetland) → multiplier on the above

Season Pass alone tops out at maybe €3–5k/month even at Connemara saturation. The €20k needs all three layers — and the third layer (breed expansion) is what turns it into a real business.

Implication for today: when building the Stripe/Sotion setup, do NOT name anything "Connemara". The product is "BreedPulse Season Pass" — breed-agnostic. The paywall rules apply to "Stallion Directory" — not "Connemara Stallion Directory". This small framing choice makes Phase 4 (adjacent breeds) trivial instead of a rebuild.

What Claude will do for you today

Ping Claude once you're online and ask for:

  1. The display insurance plan — concrete options to get stallions visible without the Worker
  2. Stripe/Sotion walkthrough — once you're ready to start, step-by-step
  3. Upwork message drafting — for the dev candidate you pick

What NOT to do today

  • ❌ Keep poking at the Notion integration UI trying to fix the Worker yourself — time-boxed to zero now
  • ❌ Start building features beyond Phase 1 — directory + payments is the ONLY job until it's live
  • ❌ Manually contact new stallion owners — wait until display works, then announce
  • ❌ Worry about the €20k gap today — today is about shipping the foundation

Phone reminders to set tonight

Siri / Google Assistant:

  • "Remind me tomorrow at 8:30am to open BreedPulse Notion"
  • "Remind me Friday at 9am to check Upwork progress and Stripe approval"
