⏳ Pending Review — How to approve stallions
Your public site only shows Verified stallions. Pending submissions wait here until you review them.
Quick workflow (30 seconds per stallion)
- Open ⏳ Review Queue (Gallery) below — each pending stallion shows as a card with their primary photo.
- Click a card to open the full submission.
- Check the details against their studbook entry.
- Change Status from "Pending Verification" to Verified — they appear on the public site within ~60 seconds.
- If anything's wrong, leave as Pending and email/call the owner using the details in their record.
Three ways to review — pick whichever you prefer
- ⏳ Review Queue (Gallery) — visual, photo-first, best for first pass
- ⏳ Review Queue (Table) — spreadsheet style, best for bulk-checking details
- 📋 Review Board (drag to approve) — Kanban columns by Status — literally drag a card from Pending → Verified
Open the BreedPulse Stallion Directory and switch to any of the three views above.
What to check before approving
- Registered Name matches the studbook record
- Foaling Year and Sire/Dam look plausible
- Country of Base is correct (not "Other" unless genuinely unknown)
- HWSD Test Result is one of the expected values
- Photo is actually of a stallion (not a mare, foal, or random horse)
- Primary Discipline isn't "all 7 selected" (see notes in audit)
Things to leave unverified and follow up on
- Missing Email Address (we can't contact the owner later)
- Sire field = same as Registered Name (submitter error)
- Primary Photo is a video file (can't render on card)
- Mare Requirements / Top 3 Results contain HTML tags like
Status meanings
- Pending Verification — waiting for you, hidden from public site
- Verified — live on breedpulse.com
- Suspended — hidden from public site (e.g. policy breach, owner request)
- Renewal Due — annual renewal needed
